On Thursday, Feb 11th 2010 we officially launched Inspire Malawi with a fantastic party at the Design Council in Covent Garden.
Over 150 people attend the launch and we would like to thank everyone for their support, the atmosphere was fantastic! We were also delighted that Felicity Kendal came to show her support of our work in Malawi, and would like to extend our sincere thanks to her. The evening was an enormous success and raised a huge amount of money, total to be confirmed!
The evening began with fabulous drinks and canapes as we welcomed our guests. Then, at 7.30pm, Tania Bryer gave an official welcome and introduced founder of Inspire Malawi, Michelle Rowe, who continued to speak about Inspire Malawi's past, present and future. It was an honour to then welcome Dr Francis Moto, High Commissioner to the Republic of Malawi who gave an inspirational address.
Later that evening we filled our 8ft African 'Pledge Tree' and drew the winning tickets in our Diamond Draw!
Many, many thanks to all our supporters, guests, volunteers and sponsors for a most spectacular evening.
